Kelley Batson

I am an abstract painter who loves to experiment with various mediums to create both visual and physical textures on the canvas. I love making marks into the paint to see what happens next. I work intuitively, so, I follow whatever happens to create pieces that live in my mind's eye. I work until the piece feels right in my soul. I am inspired to create with bold colors that lift my spirit in hopes they will lift yours too. Sometimes they are landscapes inspired by years of boating. Sometimes they are patterns or shapes inspired by auras I've seen since I was a child. No matter what I'm creating, I want it to bring a peaceful happiness that lightens the weight of the world.
