Creativity has no boundaries

I am an experimental abstract artist using paint as a creative form of self expression. I like to use an array of conventional and unconventional tools to apply paint to canvas, board or paper using a variety of brush strokes, mediums, shapes, textures, colors, and found objects.

For me painting is a form of new found freedom, the freedom to express myself in the moment with whatever tools and mediums available to me, there are no boundaries. My art is an open invitation for the viewer to feel their own freedoms. The interplay of colors, textures and shapes are unlimited and take on their own meaning for the viewer in the moment.

I am an ardent student of some the most respected abstract artists and abstract expressionists ofthe 30's, 40's, 50's. I follow the works of Mondrian, Still, Rothko, Motherwell and Pollock toname a few. I also follow more current artists like Dietmar Woelfl, Damien Hirst and Betty Kraus.

My greatest reward is for the observer to take away some new found freedoms and to experience their own feelings in the moment. To paraphrase Picasso just "look and observe with no need to understand but to feel". If I have created this I will have succeeded in my work.
